  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay). We don't see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: when you use our contact form, email us, or call us, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and your message.
  • Email sign-ups: your email address when you subscribe to our emails through the Site footer or a pop-up.
  • Reviews: your name, review, rating, and any photos you choose to submit.
  • Ambassador program: if you apply to be an ambassador, the information in your application (such as your name, email, and social media handles), plus referral and sales data connected to your code or link.
  • Subscriptions: if you buy a subscription, your subscription details and billing schedule.
  • Account information: if you log in to a customer account, your login email and order history.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our partners automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, products added to your cart, referring website, and approximate location. Tools and partners we share information with

We share information with service providers who help us run our store, and with advertising partners, only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Shopify hosts our online store, checkout, customer accounts, and email sign-up list, and runs our in-person point-of-sale system. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
  • Payment providers (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay) process your payment.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API through Shopify's Facebook & Instagram app. These share information about your visits and purchases (such as pages viewed, items purchased, and hashed contact details) with Meta so we can measure and improve our ads and show ads to people who may be interested in our products.   • Judge.me collects and displays product reviews and may email you to ask for a review after you purchase.
  • OptiMonk runs the pop-ups on our Site (for example, email sign-up offers).
  • BixGrow runs our ambassador program and tracks referral codes, links, and sales.
  • Seal Subscriptions manages subscription orders and recurring billing.
  • Shop (by Shopify) lets you follow our store and track orders in the Shop app if you choose to.
  • Shipping carriers such as USPS receive your name, address, and order details to deliver your order.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some privacy laws treat sharing information with advertising partners (like the Meta Pixel) for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing." You can opt out as described below.

Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails: unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email, or email us.
  • Targeted advertising: to opt out of the use of your information for targeted ads, email support@shoptidytowel.com with the subject "Do not sell or share." You can also adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings, and use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email support@shoptidytowel.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
  • If we deny your request, you may be able to appeal by replying to our response.

How long we keep your information

We keep order information as long as needed to fulfill orders and meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or until you ask us to delete it where the law allows.

Security

We use Shopify's secure, encrypted (HTTPS) checkout and limit access to personal information. No method of storing or sending data online is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Where your information is processed

Tidy Towel is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date below.
